Resetting a Garmin 210

I've had continuous problems with my Garmin 210. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved it, I've just had to do a master or partial reset numerous times (as well  as work with them on getting my HR monitor to work). Is this normal?

So - I thought this would  be useful to people, in case you also have the 210. Here is the link to the reset instructions I use:

Anyone else have issues with their Garmin Forerunner? Any luck with a particular model? Any luck with another brand/model?

  1. I've had to reset my Forerunner 305 a few times as well, but resetting always fixes any problems I've had. Overall I've had good luck with the 305, but it's bulky compared to the 210, and sometimes the battery life can be an issue for super long days biking or doing multiple workouts.

  2. I'm more than likely going to be selling my garmin 210. I'm not a fan of how many times I've had to master reset it.

  3. My heart rate monitor stopped working the third time I used it, while it was still on warranty. I was told by customer support to buy a new battery, which I did. It did not fix the problem. On top of that, the master reset function does not work on the watch.

I've owned other Garmin products in the past, but will try to avoid them in the future.
